Have
you been seeing orange RSS or
XML buttons more and more, not knowing what they are. Well, these little
buttons are revolutionizing the way people get information from the Internet.
It's "the next big thing" -- you can use it to get newsfeeds from BBC or CNN, as
well as just about anything else, including parenting news, upcoming movies, DVD
releases, your favorite sports updates, etc.
Once you get started, it's like having your favorite parts of the Web come to
you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time.
"RSS" means "Really Simple Syndication." But that is just a fancy way of saying
that you can keep up with all the updates to "Coolest Birthday Cakes", "Coolest
Kid Birthday Parties" and all the rest of our party sites, without having to
check the site every week to see "what's new." Whenever I add an
exceptionally unique cake to the gallery or post a super-cool party tip, I
release it through RSS.
Once in a while, I'll also release some of the coolest info on our sites that
you may have missed or overlooked. This way you won't have to spend hours on the
site searching for them.
It'll be served right onto your Desktop...
RSS is amazing. No e-mail. No spam. It's so easy to subscribe and unsubscribe.
And once you start, you'll soon be tracking all your other favorite interests
and news in the world.
How do you get started?
Download a free RSS Reader first (skip to bottom if you do
not want to download software). This is special software that reads the "RSS
feeds" from the largest news organizations right down to our coolest birthday
cakes...
